Position Description: This internship experience is a hands on interactive
opportunity. The Health Promotion Intern will work closely with the Health
Promotion & Special Events Coordinator. The  intern will be assisting in
the planning, organizing, and coordinating wellness program activities for
employees and their family members that encompass mind, body and spiritual
well being. The intern will play an active role in the Health Incentive
Program (H.I.P.) and will be trained on blood pressures, finger sticks,
health risk assessments, and follow-up education for employees.

Qualifications: Individual must be in a health promotion, health education,
exercise science, or nutrition degree-seeking program and have a professor
sign-off on the internship. Candidate must be professional and adhere to
all general hospital standards.

Organization Description:  ActionHealth is the Employee Wellness Department
for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and has nearly 12,000
employees, students, and volunteers. ActionHealth is a comprehensive
wellness program and is a benefit to all Medical Center employees.
