The primary purpose of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (TPPI) Program Consultant position is to provide consultation and oversight to local grantees. Responsibilities of the position include project monitoring, contract management, meeting/training design and implementation, collaboration, and technical assistance. The Program Consultant works on a team with a Program Supervisor, another Program Consultant, and an Evaluation Consultant. The Program Consultant is based in Raleigh and is responsible for oversight of grantees in a specified region of the state. Approximately 30 days of travel annually with some overnight travel is required for on site monitoring visits, regional meetings, and conferences.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of adolescent sexual health and effective strategies for preventing teen pregnancy. Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts constructively. Ability to develop line item budgets using MS Excel spreadsheet and calculator. Good planning and organizing skills. Ability to perform routine tasks with care and attention. Management prefers: Recent experience working directly with adolescents. Experience working in local non profit and or governmental agencies. Competency using MS Access. Experience providing adult training, facilitating meetings, and planning events. Training and Experience Requirements Master's degree in public health, social work, nursing, psychology or related field and one year of experience in a related human services program; or graduation from a four year college or university and three years of administrative, consultative, or counseling experience in a related human services program. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.

Salary Grade: 72 Salary Range: $41173 - $67369 Hiring Range: $41173 - $50000
