The Adolescent Health Educator is responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating the activities of Teen Health Connection's community education program. The incumbent designs and implements behavior change strategies and special projects to assist adolescents in achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
* Bachelors degree in Health Education or related Behavioral Science field is required. * Master's Degree in Public Health or Health Education is preferred. * Three to five years of health education experience - especially with the adolescent population required. * Must have broad knowledge base of adolescent health issues to facilitate the ability to comfortably respond to the unpredictable needs and inquiries of a diverse adolescent population. * Experience working with adolescents, particularly an at-risk population, is essential. * Valid NC driver's license and dependable transportation is required.
