Implement a 14-week, science-based substance abuse prevention program with youth and families; conduct home visits and maintain a caseload of 10-15 families annually; create and file progress notes, ongoing client evaluations, discharge summaries, and maintain charts with HIPAA compliance; seek and apply current and frequently changing record keeping practices and requirements; compile and maintain statistical data with frequent report submission; seek training to enhance knowledge and expertise in the areas of substance abuse prevention and intervention; coordinate community and agency presentations as a recruitment strategy; maintain ongoing and effective relationships with families and community agencies; attend Cooperative Extension, 4-H Youth Development, Regional Team and Strengthening Families Program meetings; assist with various internal and external projects and events as assigned; seek information and knowledge of agency and program policies and issues.

Two years of experience in the substance abuse field with prevention/intervention focus and NCSAPPB certified; experience working with youth and families; experience with group facilitation and knowledge of family-centered practice; experience working with clients with a past or present substance abuse diagnosis; fluent English is a requirement, and Spanish language skills are preferred.
