Plans, implements and evaluates health promotion and disease prevention initiatives in the Durham community and agency worksites. Conducts educational sessions and activities for older adults at senior sites. Conducts general health promotion activities with special emphasis on physical activity, tobacco cessation and policy/environmental change activities.
Requirements: Requires graduation from a four year college or university with a major in health education/health promotion and one year of experience in public health education or a related field; graduation from a college or university with a Master’s degree in health education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Group Fitness Aerobic Instructor Certification preferred, will train if needed.
