The Health Services Researcher performs duties which include the development and implementation of evaluation methodologies for all wellness initiatives for Carolinas HealthCare System. Responsibilities also include the creation and utilization of data systems for assessment and evaluation. He/She will work in close collaboration with the R. Stuart Dickson Institute for Health Studies, Carolinas HealthCare System's Corporate Human Resources, Information Services and Marketing, Communications. Functions: -Serve as the department leader for LiveWELL Carolinas! Wellness Program Integration research initiative -Develops and implements evaluation plans directed towards the assessment of efficacy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness, and/or outcomes for a variety of programs -Contribute data analysis support to future and on-going LiveWELL initiatives. -Conducts data collection in a scientific and objective manner. -Serves as a consultant to program development staff and personnel in collaborating departments. -Analyzes and interprets data collected for studies. -Prepares study reports and disseminates results. -Performs critical analyses of outcomes, methods, and processes, utilizing data collected from primary and secondary sources. -Designs studies for the evaluation of specific wellness interventions.

-Must have Masters Degree in health-related research field, health policy, survey research, epidemiology, sociology, or other related area and two years experience in healthcare or public health or PhD in one of the above fields. -Experience in building and managing health databases, with practical application to financial modeling, predicitve modeling, benchmarking and evaluation of best practices. -Experience working in observational research and utilizing computers and databases to conduct analyses and interpretation of evaluation and outcome studies. - Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills and writing skills.
