Educational programs designed to help HIV positive individuals replace high risk behaviors with those that will not spread HIV to other individuals; Outreach education on HIV/STD’s to targeted teens and adults in neighborhoods with a high incidence of these diseases; HIV/STD education programs to be conducted with community-based organizations for their clients and members; Clinic Based HIV and Syphilis testing; Telephone Triage for HIV negative results; Other duties as assigned.
Proof of education is no longer required at the time of application unless specified as part of the minimum qualifications; however, proof of education will be required if employment is offered. Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Health Education or related field and 2 years of experience in health education, health promotion or a related field. A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Education or related field may substitute for the required experience. Candidates must be proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience in community organizing, small group process, public speaking and grant writing is desired. A valid driver’s license is required. Preference will be given to Spanish speaking applicants. The candidate selected must undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug screening prior to employment.
