The primary purpose of this position is to design and provide communicable disease prevention education to target populations at risk for STDs, HIV/AIDS, TB, hepatitis, and vaccine preventable diseases.

Minimum Training and Experience: Graduation from a four year college or university with a major in health education and one year of experience in public health education or a related field; graduation from a four year college or university and two years of experience in public health education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid North Carolina driver license, good driving record. Proof of rubella immunity. Knowledge and Skills Requirement: Ability to work effectively with people of all educational levels, skills in problem solving methodologies and resource utilization, ability to write and speak effectively, ability to build cooperation among various groups in carrying out a public health education program. Ability to understand the social and psychological factors affecting client's receptiveness to service utilization and behavior modification.
